 On 28 August 2024, Christian Renford made history, becoming the first third-generation swimmer to conquer the English Channel, continuing the legendary Renford family tradition. Covering 33 km in an inspiring 12 hours and 7 minutes, Christian not only honoured his grandfather Des Renford’s and uncle Michael’s remarkable legacies but also carved a path uniquely his own.
